    ARCHITECTURE

    von der Idee zur Realisierung

“We understand architecture as a comprehensive task, to develop and realize a construction project from the first idea to the smallest detail in all phases.”

We create efficient concepts tailored to your building project and offer integrative planning in all phases of the building project. We always place appreciative and innovation-promoting communication at the forefront, beyond technical terms, in order to create a common, creative planning space with the clients and all those involved in the construction. In our experience, a clear definition of goals and benefits at the beginning of each project leads to convincing results.

This is how individual, sensitive and respectful solutions are created for new construction measures, monument-appropriate and energetic renovations in existing buildings, fundamental conversion measures or structural additions as well as fire protection upgrades, from the large concept to the smallest detail.
We work for both private and public clients.

“Creative aspects, high functional value and technical details are combined professionally and with passion to create an individual architectural design.”

As a source of ideas and inspiration, planners and coordinators, we develop lasting architectural and structural solutions that meet the diverse and changing needs of people. We attach particular importance to a sustainable and material-appropriate design that takes into account the climatic requirements and also the fire protection requirements.

An architect accompanies you as a contact person with the full support and experience of the entire office team through your construction project. The superimposition of specialist skills over and above the actual architect’s services enables us to take important aspects from the entire field of construction into account from the very beginning of the planning process.

We have special expertise in energy planning and fire protection.

    Roof conversion Berlin-Charlottenburg

    The city above the city

The penthouses extend over two floors and offer light-flooded living and working spaces that flow into one another. The new roof shape refers to the existing building edges of the surrounding area, which is characterised by Wilhelminian residential buildings. With incised terraces and generous dormers formed in the axis of the existing bay windows, a new roofscape is created that speaks a contemporary architectural language.

Kiezraum Berlin-Kreuzberg | bfl Architekten und Planer

    Common Room Berlin-Kreuzberg

In a section of the existing former stable building of the so-called Dragonerareal, a new Kiezraum was established. As accompanying measures, barrier-free access and barrier-free sanitary areas were created. For reasons of monument protection, structural interventions were only allowed to take place without impairing the historical substance. The planning for the new use took place in a cooperative process with the users of the neighbourhood space. At times, the implementation took place parallel to the use of the building.

    Retirement Home Berlin-Wannsee

In the course of implementing the higher standards required for dormitories, the entire building was redesigned in terms of its functional structure and fire protection. The existing building will be respected in its form and appearance and will not be changed externally.

    Low-energy house Berlin-Lichtenrade

In addition to the design, special attention was paid to energy aspects in this new building in Berlin, which achieves the KfW Efficiency House 55 standard. This considers the energy efficiency of a building in terms of primary energy demand and transmission heat loss and is funded by the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).

Flat conversion Berlin-Charlottenburg | bfl Architekten Berlin
