Buddhist Temple
Berlin
A new Buddhist temple is being built in Berlin as a replacement building – a place of spirituality, encounters and education. The architecturally sophisticated building will not only serve as a religious centre for meditation and prayer, but will also provide space for cultural events, lectures and teaching.
A number of special requirements had to be taken into account when drawing up the fire protection concept. The traditional Buddhist ceremonies as well as specific design specifications and ritual facilities posed particular challenges that required a customised solution.
The fire protection planning was carried out by the renowned office partnership | bfl, which used its expertise and experience to ensure that the functional, aesthetic and safety aspects were harmoniously integrated into the overall concept of the temple.
