Creation of escape routes in a community school building

A lack of rescue options was found on a building of a community school in Berlin. In the course of developing the fire protection concept, several options for obtaining structural rescue options were worked out as a preliminary draft. After analyzing the preliminary drafts, the design of a safety stairwell was selected and implemented.
In addition to fire protection issues, monument protection issues also had to be agreed in advance and taken into account. Another challenge was the very short-term and fast planning and implementation of the measures, since the premises had to be used as quickly as possible.
The planning and organization of the structural fire protection was carried out by the office community | bfl.
