With the conversion of the primary school, which was built in 1960, the building complex is being renovated to make it more energy-efficient, in addition to individual extensions such as the new library. The energy consulting includes the entire building project, i.e. existing buildings and extensions.
The energy refurbishment includes an optimisation of the existing gas condensing boiler in the area of heat supply and, in order to reduce heat losses and ensure thermal insulation in summer, measures on all essential external building components. The existing windows, which no longer meet today’s requirements, will be replaced with thermally insulated wood/aluminium windows.
Existing exterior walls are energetically improved by applying an insulating render. Since the conversion work has to be carried out while the school is still in operation, the roofs of the extensions are being built using timber panel construction, which enables a short assembly time due to the high degree of prefabrication and can also meet the requirements for insulation and sustainability.
With new slope insulation for the roof surfaces in the existing building, as well as roof greening on old and new parts of the building, the structural properties can be further improved.
Energy consulting includes the preparation of thermal insulation calculations and verifications, as well as thermal bridge calculations. Long-term support and early participation in the implementation planning by providing additional information for the object planning are also part of the service.
